Reuben  Richards

Reuben  Richards

Joined the Company in October 1995 as its President and Chief Operating Officer and became Chief Executive Officer in December 1996. Mr. Richards has been a director of the Company since May 1995. From September 1994 to December 1996, Mr. Richards was a Senior Managing Director of Jesup & Lamont Capital Markets Inc. ("Jesup & Lamont" (an affiliate of a registered broker-dealer)). From December 1994 to 1997, he was a member and President of Jesup & Lamont Merchant Partners, L.L.C. From 1992 through 1994, Mr. Richards was a principal with Hauser, Richards & Co., a firm engaged in corporate restructuring and management turnarounds. From 1986 until 1992, Mr. Richards was a Director at Prudential-Bache Capital Funding in its Investment Banking Division.

 
 
Hong Hou

Hong Hou

Joined the Company in March 1998 and has served in a variety of leadership roles. He co-started EMCORE's Photovoltaics Division, and subsequently managed the Fiber Optics Division. He was Executive Vice President of Business Development and Product Strategy before becoming Vice President and General Manager of EMCORE's Ortel Division. From 1995 to 1998 he was a Principal Member of the Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM. Prior to that, he served with AT&T Bell Laboratories, engaging in research on high-speed optoelectronic devices. He holds a Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at San Diego and a Bachelor of Science degree from Jilin University in China. He has published over 150 journal articles and holds seven U.S. patents.

 
 
John Markovich

John Markovich

Joined the company in August 2008. He has more than 20 years of executive financial management experience in assisting rapidly-growing public and private technology-based companies. Prior to joining EMCORE, Mr. Markovich was EVP & CFO of Energy Innovations, Inc., CFO of Orqis Medical Corporation and CFO of Pictos Technologies, Inc. Previously, he served as CFO of Relera, Inc., Tickets.com, Inc., Autobytel, Inc. and Optical Coating Laboratories, Inc. Earlier in his career, Mr. Markovich served as Vice President and Treasurer of Western Digital Corporation and managed Citibank’s high tech corporate banking business in Southern California. Mr. Markovich earned an undergraduate degree in business from Miami University, an M.B.A. in finance from Michigan State University and is a graduate of Stanford University’s Financial Management Program. Mr. Markovich is SOX certified by the Sarbanes-Oxley Institute.

 
 
John Iannelli

John Iannelli

Joined the Company in January 2003 through the acquisition of Ortel from Agere Systems. Prior to his current role, Dr. Iannelli was Senior Director of Engineering of EMCORE’s Broadband division (Ortel). Dr. Iannelli joined Ortel in 1995 and has led various development programs and products in the areas of analog and digital transmitters/transceivers. He has made seminal inventions in the areas of fiber optics transport in broadband infrastructure. He has numerous publications and issued US patents. Dr. Iannelli holds a Ph.D. and MS degree in Applied Physics from the California Institute of Technology, a BS degree in Physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.

 
 
Keith  Kosco

Keith  Kosco

Joined the Company as Deputy General Counsel in January 2007. From 2003 to 2006, Mr. Kosco served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Aspire Markets, Inc. and from 2002 to 2003 served as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of 3D Systems Corporation, a high technology capital goods manufacturer. From 1998 to 2001, Mr. Kosco served as Director of Mergers and Acquisitions and Assistant General Counsel of Litton Industries, a high-tech and defense company that was acquired by Northrop Grumman Corporation in 2001. Mr. Kosco also has over 19 years of experience in private practice with the law firms of Morgan, Lewis and Squire Sanders & Dempsey LLP. Mr. Kosco received his J.D. degree from Harvard Law School in 1979.

 
 
Christopher Larocca

Christopher Larocca

Joined the Company in May 2004 as Senior Director of Business Development and Product Strategy. Mr. Larocca then served as Senior Director of Marketing & Sales for EMCORE’s Broadband Fiber Optics business (Ortel). From April 2001 through May 2004, he served as Vice President of GELcore, a solid-state lighting joint venture between Emcore Corporation and General Electric. Prior to joining GELcore, Mr. Larocca held a variety of commercial and Six Sigma roles within General Electric’s Lighting division between 1995 and 2001. Mr. Larocca holds a Master degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Clemson University. He is also a board member of Langfang Emcore Optoelectronics Co. Ltd.

 
 
Stephen Krasulick

Stephen Krasulick

Joined EMCORE in July 2006 as Director of R&D for Digital Fiber Optic Products. Prior to joining EMCORE, Mr. Krasulick served as General Manager of Modules and Subsystems for Multiplex Inc. from August 2004 through July 2006. Mr. Krasulick was Vice President of Transponder products and Vice President of Analog Broadband products at Optium Corporation from April 2001 to April 2004. He held several senior management positions in the Transmission Systems Division of JDS Uniphase including Director of Telecom Products from April 1998 to April 2001. Mr. Krasulick started his career at AT&T Bell Laboratories, engaging R&D on analog laser linearization and development of high-speed digital optical communication modules from 1985 through 1998. Mr. Krasulick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Lafayette College. He is also a board member of Langfang Emcore Optoelectronics Co. Ltd.

 
 
David Danzilio

David Danzilio

Joined the company in February 2004 as Vice President and General Manager of EMCORE’s Photovoltaic division. Prior to joining EMCORE, Mr. Danzilio held numerous technical and managerial positions at Raytheon Corporation and M/A-COM Incorporated, where he managed a large commercial gallium arsenide manufacturing operation. Since graduating from the University of Lowell in 1984, Mr. Danzilio has had an extensive career in the field of compound semiconductors with wide body of work in the area of high performance hetero-junction devices. He has authored or coauthored numerous technical papers in the field of III-V semiconductors and holds three patents in the area of high performance semiconductor devices and manufacturing techniques.

 
 
Earl Fuller

Earl Fuller

Joined the Company in November 2001 as Vice President of EMCORE Photovoltaics. Prior to coming to Emcore, Mr. Fuller spent nine years as President of Novus Technologies. In addition, from December 1999 through October 2001, Mr. Fuller served a President of PicoDyne, a semiconductor start-up that commercializing ultra-low power radiation hardened technology for the satellite systems market. He has held various General Management positions in the microelectronics and semiconductor materials industries. Mr. Fuller holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.

 
 
Charlie Wang

Charlie Wang

Joined the Company in May 1998 as a Senior Development Engineer. Mr. Wang then served as R&D Manager, Engineering Director, and Development Director for EMCORE’s Digital Products division. Prior to joining Emcore, Mr. Wang held the position of R&D Manager at Semiconductor Laser International Corporation (SLIC) between August 1996 and April 1998. Mr. Wang holds a Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Mexico and a Master of Science degree in Optics from Changchun Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics. He is the Chairman of the Board for Langfang Emcore Optoelectronics Co. Ltd (Emcore China), and also an adjunct professor for the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering at the University of New Mexico.

 
 
Monica Van Berkel

Monica Van Berkel

Joined the Company in May 2004 as Vice President Human Resources responsible for the strategic direction of human resources initiatives including training, recruiting, employee relations, compensation design and employee benefits. In addition to Human Resources, Mrs. Van Berkel is also responsible for Corporate Information Technology. She is a veteran in the human resources field with 15 years of experience including senior human resources positions with First Data, Gateway and Western Digital. During her career, Mrs. Van Berkel has managed human resource functions from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies, supporting industries in high tech, manufacturing, and professional services. Mrs. Van Berkel holds a Master of Science Degree in Administration of Justice from San Jose State University.
